Noah’s 6th Birthday Road Trip : Lancelin

February 21st, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , , |9 Comments

Last week my gorgeous boy turned SIX years old.I know everyone says it, because it’s just so true – how did we get here – already? SIX? It doesn’t seem that long ago that he was just starting to walk, and talk, and fell in love with trains. All of a sudden he’s huge and in year one. This year, instead of a birthday party, we told Noah he could choose to do pretty much anything he would like to celebrate his birthday. We could go to the zoo, or a park, bring a friend […]

I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day, no matter what your plans are :o} We have been having fun with food around here in the lead up to Valentine’s Day!This is why I love Valentine’s! Not for the gifts or flowers or chocolates, but for the fun we get to have with pink and hearts and love notes. Sure we can do these anytime, and we do even when it’s not Valentine’s Day. But I love an excuse even when I don’t need one. :o}Heart shaped pancakes! We have a cute little heart shaped […]

February 13th, 2013|Categories: printables|Tags: , |0 Comments

I cannot believe that I made these up weeks ago and have been forgetting to pop them up on the blog!Hopefully some of you will still find a use for them! Even if just to give your own kiddos as a little something something tomorrow – which is what I’m doing for mine along with a little note for each of them. These are super simple, and although I’ve used them with an organic lollipop, you really could use them for any kind of treat or even just as they are! If you’re not using […]

roses: what’s your colour?

February 8th, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: |6 Comments

Sponsored Post for Roses OnlyLast year for my sweet Chloe’s birthday I bought her some pink roses. Although I admit they suited our ‘colour scheme’, that’s not the reason I bought pink ones. The reason I chose pink roses for my darling girl on her 2nd birthday is that their colour is associated with gentleness, grace, admiration and elegance. I thought them perfect for a sweet little girl that was not only full of those qualities of gentleness and grace, but who I also admired for her ability to be feisty and independent.Roses are […]

{review + giveaway} : chemical free cleaning with enjo {now closed}

February 7th, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , |84 Comments

My least favourite job in the kitchen is cleaning the oven. I really don’t like it but I vowed that when we moved into this house 3 years ago I would keep on top of the oven as it was brand new and it would never become a chore. Truth is, that even though I did clean it after every use, it was certainly a chore! My sponge just wouldn’t cut it, all those splatter and grease marks, and baked on bits! But I refused to use those chemicals that tell you to wear […]

back to school {2013} : the school corner + homework supplies caddy

February 5th, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , , |9 Comments

Finishing off the back to school posts is our new School Corner! You might recognise this space as the spot our writing workshop used to be – I moved this quite a while ago so that it was closer to the kids work table which left this area a little blank. It is right next to our dining table, which is where I though Noah could do his homework at this young age {Year 1, nearly 6 years old} as he will probably need some help or want to talk through things with me and this […]

back to school {2013} : lunch box and snack ideas

February 4th, 2013|Categories: Additive free|Tags: , |3 Comments

I always get a bit nervous talking food on my blog! What and how we feed our kids is a pretty personal decision, so while I am happy to share what we do, please don’t feel like it is what you must be doing, everyone gets to make their own decisions. Hubby and I as parents have been careful when it comes to additives and preservatives in our food for going on 8 years now. Although I am not an expert by any means, it has become easier and easier for us to make better choices […]

{review + giveaway} lego loving

February 3rd, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , |168 Comments

We are big LEGO lovers in this house. I grew up with LEGO, as did my husband. My 3 younger brothers refuse to let go of our LEGO collection, so we have slowly built up our own for the kiddos to enjoy. Noah is big on LEGO. Loves it and plays with it every.single.day. It is so good for his imagination, fine motor skills and concentration. I love that it is an all around great toy that will also last and last. We were recently sent this LEGO Creator Construction Hauler. Oh boy. Noah absolutely loves it. Why wouldn’t he? […]

{valentine’s day} 14 days of valentines countdown

February 1st, 2013|Categories: printables|Tags: , , |4 Comments

I had meant to print these and share them on the blog yesterday but totally forgot, and woke up this morning and realised it was already the first of February! How did that happen? So this morning I printed out the 14 Days of Valentine’s cards you can find here, and decided on an activity per day as an advent style countdown to Valentine’s day. In years past I have written something I loved about each kiddo and hubby but I thought it would be nice to do the activities this year, plus some days […]
