Host Melanie Coates is joined by guest Rob Sedor, Director of Housekeeping Services at The Fairmont Royal York Hotel, to talk about what guests can do to “green” their hotel stay while Elizabeth Milan, owner of The Elizabeth Milan Day Spa, tells us how to put a healthy “pink” glow into tired winter skin.

Elizabeth has teamed with the hotel to offer a special Valentine’s Day spa treatment that will also benefit the World Wildlife Fund. The Bear Affair treatment offers two 30 minute body massages in a double room for $110. The Bear Hugs offers two friends or two lovers a rooftop honey and milk manicure with exfoliation and parabath over 45 minutes for $99. Radio Royal York returns from a short hiatus with a new episode to make you relive those warm, sunshine fresh days of summer.

In this episode, our host Melanie Coates talks to Fairmont Royal York Sous Chef, Brian Armstrong, about what to pack for a sustainable picnic lunch. We sit down with Katrina Miller of the Toronto Environmental Alliance to find out what the City of Toronto is doing to take-up the green cause. Then, we head out for a tour of Toronto Island with Parks Supervisor Warren Hoselton.
