For the seventeenth year, The Fairmont Royal York will set its lobby a glow. Cast members from Disney’s hit Broadway musical, Mary Poppins, now on stage at the Princess of Wales Theatre, will ring in the festive season with the annual tree lighting ceremony.
Toronto’s grand landmark hotel welcomes the holidays with free refreshments and a visit from Santa on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 12 p.m. sharp, through to 12:30 p.m..
This tradition, familiar to many Torontonians, marks the beginning of the holiday season at The Fairmont Royal York and will raise awareness for the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Cast members of “Mary Poppins” will sing Christmas carols and a Children Wish Foundation child will light up the 22-foot-tall Christmas Tree.
The festive event is free to the public and it all takes place in the lobby of The Fairmont Royal York, 100 Front St. West, Toronto.
